Matt has 13 years experience of building, with training in furniture making and a specialism in oak framed buildings.
He can remotely advise on, or design and build, any size or type of project; from beautiful sheds and saunas to extensions and treehouses.
He has a growing portfolio of restored sash windows in older properties and beautiful fitted joinery which remains sympathetic to traditional surroundings.
I’m probably biased but he’s very clever and nice!

With a background in print and web design project management during my time in London, followed by Creative Direction and styling, I am a creative with strong organisational skills.
I like to help to focus your thoughts, drill into a brief before bringing inspiration to your interior project, no matter the size or challenge.
I aim to reuse and repurpose wherever possible.
I think laterally about problems, and bring character and purpose into your design with practical layouts and unique sourcing for furniture, fixtures and fittings.

How we work
We are Herefordshire-based, but available for remote consultations. We are available to hire individually.
Consultation on carpentry, joinery and bespoke furniture/ fittings is individually costed at £40p/h.
Consultation on off-grid building is charged at £300 per day plus travel.
We don’t work on commercial builds within a 50 miles radius of HR47AX.
Costs listed above do not include mileage which is charged at £0.66 p/m for meetings with clients and/or suppliers and tradespeople.
Please be advised that budgeting an additional minimum of £20+ per square metre for professional services, equipment, fixtures, fittings and equipment, per room, is advisable. (The average value of one square metre of your property is £7k in London and £3k outside of London. Skilled trades, quality fabrics, finishes, fixtures and equipment can feel costly, but the investment is small compared to the return on the value.)
We have a roster of tried and trusted upholsterers and seamstresses which we can work with on your project.
